September 22nd: Attending the Groundbreaking Ceremony for the MAAMBA 100MWac PV Solar Power Project

On September 22nd, the groundbreaking ceremony for the MAAMBA PV Solar Power Project, undertaken by Sinoma Energy Conservation Limited, was grandly held in Maamba, a mining town in the Sinazongwe District of Southern Province, Zambia. Mr. Makozo Chikote, Minister of Energy of Zambia, delivered a speech. Mr. Meng Qinglin, Chairman of Sinoma Energy Conservation Limited, and Mr. Ashwin Devineni, CEO of Nava Limited, attended the ceremony.

Mr. Makozo Chikote personally participated in the groundbreaking ceremony, wishing for the project's early completion and power generation.

Mr. Makozo Chikote congratulated the commencement of the project. He stated that the MAAMBA PV Solar Project is a significant milestone in Zambia's strategy for developing clean energy. It will play a crucial role in transforming Zambia's power energy mix, alleviating local electricity shortages, and reducing the country's reliance on hydropower. He expressed his hope that Sinoma Energy Conservation Limited would fully leverage its leading technological advantages in the clean energy sector to make positive contributions to power infrastructure, industrial and economic development, and the improvement of living conditions for people in Zambia and the broader Southern African region, thereby enhancing local sustainable development capabilities.

The successful groundbreaking ceremony for the MAAMBA PV Solar Project marks a new stage for Sinoma Energy Conservation Limited's expansion in the new energy sector in Southern Africa. It is a vivid practice of the company's active participation in the joint construction of the "Belt and Road" initiative and its commitment to fulfilling the strategic goal of "Overseas Decade Re-creation" set by China National Building Material Group.

Approximately 200 attendees, including senior Zambian government officials, investment institutions, community leaders, representatives from Maamba Energy Company, representatives from Sinoma Energy Conservation Limited, and local residents, participated in the groundbreaking ceremony.

Following the ceremony, Meng Qinglin held a cordial meeting with Ashwin Devineni.

Meng Qinglin expressed gratitude for the warm hospitality extended by Ashwin Devineni and congratulated him on the successful groundbreaking ceremony. He stated that the ceremony signifies the MAAMBA PV Solar Project has fully entered the "fast lane" of construction. Sinoma Energy Conservation Limited will adhere to a pragmatic and efficient work style, advancing the project with high standards and quality to establish it as a benchmark project for regional new energy cooperation, contributing Sinoma Energy Conservation Limited's strength to Zambia's green development and energy transition.

Ashwin Devineni expressed his appreciation for the efforts made by Sinoma Energy Conservation Limited in facilitating the smooth progress of the MAAMBA 100MWac PV Solar Power Project and sincerely praised the project team for their outstanding execution capabilities and sense of responsibility. He hopes this project will become a model of sincere cooperation between the two parties and serve as an opportunity to further broaden the scope of collaboration and explore cooperative potential in the new energy field, jointly writing a new chapter in green development.

After conducting a field inspection of the project's progress and listening to a detailed report from the project team, Meng Qinglin highly commended the team for the phased achievements made in efficiently advancing the preliminary work. Regarding the next phase of work, Meng Qinglin emphasized three key points: First, anchor on "efficient performance," meticulously managing project advancement and full-process control to ensure key milestones are achieved on schedule and to build a high-quality project. Second, strengthen the "safety production" defense line, prioritizing safety above all tasks, consolidating responsibilities, and eliminating potential hazards to ensure the project progresses smoothly and orderly. Third, deepen "client relationships," maintaining close communication with partners, actively responding to their needs, and building trust through excellent performance capabilities to lay a solid foundation for future market expansion.

September 23rd: Visiting China National Building Material Zambia Industrial Park

Meng Qinglin and his delegation visited the China National Building Material Zambia Industrial Park (hereinafter referred to as the "CNBM Zambia Industrial Park"). They inspected the Zero External Power Purchase Green and Low-Carbon Project undertaken by Sinoma Energy Conservation Limited within the park. Mr. Shao Mingzhu, Chairman and General Manager of the Zambia Industrial Park, extended a warm welcome to Meng Qinglin and his delegation.

Meng Qinglin expressed his gratitude for the warm reception by Shao Mingzhu and the strong support provided by the Zambia Industrial Park for Sinoma Energy Conservation's Green and Low-Carbon Project. He stated that this project is not only a significant achievement of deepened cooperation between the two parties but also a critical step in actively responding to the Group's "Overseas Re-creation" strategy, building "zero-carbon industrial parks," and accelerating the construction of "Six-Zero Factories." It plays an important exemplary and driving role in establishing a green and low-carbon international operation model. Sinoma Energy Conservation Limited will work hand in hand with the Zambia Industrial Park to steadily advance project construction and operation management, making joint efforts to achieve the strategic goal of "Overseas Re-creation."

Shao Mingzhu provided a detailed introduction to the construction, development, and operation of the Zambia Industrial Park. He pointed out that the park has consistently adhered to localized operations, making it a prominent representative of the Group's basic building materials business segment in Africa. He stated that upon completion, the Green and Low-Carbon Project invested in and constructed by Sinoma Energy Conservation Limited will become Africa's first "zero external power purchase" green factory, serving as an example for achieving the low-carbon goals of the Zambia Industrial Park's entire industry chain and promoting Africa's industrial green transition. The Zambia Industrial Park will further strengthen resource sharing and collaborative cooperation with Sinoma Energy Conservation Limited to facilitate the project's early commissioning and power generation.
